What to know about marine junk

• Fiberglass has its own disposal path. Old hulls and boards can't just go in a regular load - the disposal is specific, and that's our problem to handle, not yours.

• Access is often the challenge. Beach, dock, and yard access all change the plan, and low tide is sometimes part of the schedule.

• Some of it is donatable. Usable small craft and gear often find island takers before the waste stream - worth checking before you scrap it.
