What's Really Involved
People expect hot tub removal to be a quick junk pickup, and then reality sets in: it's a small demolition and access job. A tub can weigh five hundred pounds or more, it's usually built into a deck or fenced into a yard, and it almost always has to be broken down to get out. This page explains what's actually involved so you know what you're dealing with. We're Better Call Bosko, and tub tear-outs are a specialty.
Why it's more than a pickup
• It has to be disconnected safely first. The electrical must be disconnected before removal - we'll tell you from photos whether you need your electrician.
• It usually has to be cut down. Most tubs won't fit through a gate or around a house intact, so they're sectioned on site. Full-shell removal is rare.
• Access decides everything. Decks, fences, gates, and tight side yards determine the whole plan - which is why we want photos of the path, not just the tub.
• Disposal isn't simple. The shell and materials have their own disposal path; that's our problem to handle, not yours.
What's included
Disconnection check, breaking the tub down as needed, hauling the shell, cover, steps, and debris, and leaving the pad or deck area swept. If the surrounding deck needs partial removal to get it out, we'll include that in the plan and quote.
How we price it
Send photos of the tub, the access path, and any gates or stairs. Because a tub you can roll out and one that must be sectioned and carried through a gate are very different jobs, we quote after seeing the real setup. Fully insured.

Can you get one out of a fenced yard? Usually - send a photo of the gate and yard and we'll tell you straight. Sectioning solves most access problems.
Do I disconnect it first? The electrical must be disconnected before removal; we'll tell you if you need an electrician.
Do you take the cover, steps, and debris? Yes - all of it. Leftover chemicals are hazardous waste and need a separate route.
